Mike Hernandez
Senior Director, Safety
Mike Hernandez joined the Alliance for Automotive Innovation in 2021 as the Senior Director of Safety. In this role, Mike is responsible for Crash Avoidance and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) safety topics, regulatory affairs for Automated Driving Systems (ADS), and he supports the association’s efforts towards international regulatory harmonization. Prior to joining Auto Innovators, Mike held similar roles in safety regulatory affairs with BMW and Toyota and had previously worked as a contractor to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Mike graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and received his MBA from George Mason University.
